An ongoing series of larger paintings, begun during COVID. I think of them as stories from my neighborhood, looking out my studio window onto fields, forest ridge, sky and orchard. Each exists in its own house, with distinct investigations. The over-arching themes are: divisions, squaring the format; the relationship of brushstrokes, free hand / mechanical and color systems of organization; primaries, complements and dark/light.
