I remember Mom always liked me in yellow.  

I think she thought it was a good combination with my hair, 

kind of like Monet’s dining room at Giverny.

  Solid Tomato-Red Wool Kilt Skirt with Pin, 

  Tomato-Red Wool Sweater, 

  Yellow Shirt, 

  Striped Yellow & Tomato-Red Wool Socks. 

Totally coordinated (sometimes I even wore yellow ribbons in my braids).

I Remember

The fabric on my canopy bed,

small purple flowers

with green stems,

that I would make into interesting

patterns, faces and amimals.
